Extreme Long Range (ELR) II
ELR II takes students to the Backcountry Training Area High
Angle Range, where the focus shifts to Angle Fire and Alternate Firing
positions. Multiple targets at varying distances, along with a
breathtaking view will leave students with a sense of accomplishment and
Instructors work very closely with the Spotters in this
course with the potential of successful 2880 yard engagements, utilizing the
three High Angle Firing Points!
Day 1: Classroom Instruction/KD Shooting
0900-0945 Classroom Review
Ballistics/Marksmanship Techniques/Optical Adjustments
1000-1045 Rifle Sight-in
1600-1645 Known Distance Data Gathering
Day 2: High Angle Shooting
0900-1145 High Angle Engagements Firing Point #1
1300-1630 High Angle Engagements Firing Point #1
Day 3: Known Distance Shooting
0900-1145 High Angle Engagements Firing Point #2
1300-1630 High Angle Engagements Firing Point #3
1645-1700 Final Lecture
