The Whittington U’s Practical Pistol III Course is the Advanced Level
Defensive Sidearm instruction that focuses on Lowlight/No-light engagements,
while employing a strong fundamental interaction with the firearm, and
flashlight, along with Principles of Cover. Support side engagements with
the Non-Dominant hand are also included in this training, with a scenario-based
engagement rounding out the Course.
The WU Practical Pistol series focuses on Violence as a Means of
Last Resort with the defense of ourselves and our loved ones as part of an
overall lifestyle change.
Practical Pistol III will cover:
Static Fire/Body Position Refresher Drills
Individual Movement/Principles of Cover (PoC) Drills on Reactive
Advanced Movement Drills (AMD)
Support Side Engagements
Scenario Based Engagement
Note: This is a progressive curriculum.
We require students to take the courses in succession: PPI - PPII - PPIII

Sidearm (semi-automatic or revolver) .32cal or larger
3 magazines/speed loader minimum
500 rounds ammunition
No Handloaded Ammunition Allowed

1300-1400 - Static Fire Drills
1400-1530 – Planes Drill
1530-1700 – Free Movement Drill
1700-2030 – Evening Meal Break
2030-0030 – Lowlight/No-light Engagements
· Static Fire
0800-0930 – Support Side Static Fire Drills w/Cover
0930-1200 – Support Side Individual Movement Drills/PoC
1200-1330 – Scenario Engagement
1330-1400 - Final Discussion
