The Whittington U’s Practical Pistol I Course is an Intermediate Level Defensive Sidearm instruction, basic handgun experience is strongly recommended such as proper gun safety, gun handling and knowledge of your firearm. This course focuses on the everyday
implementation of the Firearm into our lives. The WU Practical Pistol series
focuses on Violence as a Means of Last Resort, with the defense of ourselves
and our loved ones as part of an overall lifestyle change.
Practical Pistol I will cover:
o Defensive Posture
o Fundamentals of Defensive Marksmanship
o 3-Position Presentation Technique
Static Fire Drills
Principles of Cover (PoC)
PoC Movement Drills on a Reactive Fire Range
Note: This is a
progressive curriculum. We require students to take the courses in succession:
PPI - PPII - PPIII - Masters

Sidearm (semi-automatic or revolver) .32cal or larger
3 magazines/speed loader minimum
500 rounds ammunition
