Practical Pistol Masters:  Risk Assessment

The Practical Pistol Masters Course:  Risk Assessment focuses on the everyday situations and assessing risk to enable the best course of action in defensive engagements.

Practical Pistol Masters: Risk Assessment includes:

·        Advanced Shooting Drills (under periods of darkness)

o   Timed Engagements

o   Shoot/No-Shoot Situations

o   In-Motion Engagements

·        Force on Force Drills

o   Active Shooter Situations

o   Weapon Retention

·        Close Quarter Maneuver

·        Scenario Based Situations

·        Terminal Ballistics

 

The Practical Pistol Masters Course Schedule:

 

Day 1:

0800:  Meet at the Defensive Training Area

0830 – 1130:  Advanced Shooting Drills

1130 – 1300:  Lunch

1300 - 1600:  Close Quarter Maneuver

1600 – 1630:  Final Day Lecture

 

Day 2: 

0800:  Meet at the WU Defensive Training Area

0830 – 1100:  Force on Force Drills

1100 - 1230:  Lunch

1230 – 1600:  Scenarios

1600 – 1630:  Final Day Lecture

 

What you will need:  (packing list is for each individual course)

  • Sidearm (semi-automatic or revolver)
  • 3 magazines/speed loader minimum
  • 500 rounds ammunition
    • No Handloaded Ammunition Accepted in the Course
  • Holster (Open or Concealed)
    • No pocket holsters
  • Sturdy Belt
  • Hearing Protection
  • Eye Protection
  • Water container (water is provided in 5 gallon coolers on the range)
  • Sunblock
  • Knee Pads
  • Elbow Pads

**AMMUNITION PACKAGE IS RESTRICTED TO ONE PER PERSON PER COURSE**

This is a progressive curriculum and must be taken in order:  PPI - PPII – PPIII – PP Masters.  Each course curriculum leads into the next.

Masters Courses are designed to present challenging scenarios based on real world situations.  Students can choose the Masters they would like to attend based on the topic; the only pre-requisite for Masters is PPI - PPIII.
